What is eccentric and concentric movement?
Concentric is the contraction of a muscle or the lifting of a weight. Eccentric is the extension of a muscle or the lowering of weight. Every muscle is able to handle more weight-volume on the eccentric than on the concentric. So the eccentric is where the magic of muscle training happens. When your muscles are highly stressed, they regrow fibers that were damaged, but they grow back a little extra. Not to mention the body burns calories to get this done. The end-game of strength training is turbo-charged with eccentric loading; the central purpose of ARX.

Our Sessions are by appointment which can be scheduled by calling or by using our MindBody app. Walk-ins are also available, but with no guarantee of availability. Sessions take 10-20 minutes of workout time and total in 30 minutes including in-between time. We know that your time is as precious as your muscles. That's the beauty of Swift Fitness.
